The Rules

Our site might be named after an act of treason against Her Majesty the Queen but we do have a couple simple rules for everyone (including staff) to follow to make sure everyone has an informative and enjoyable experience on our site.

First and foremost…
freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.

We do not tolerate racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic words, phrases or trains of thoughts. Period. We stand by our zero tolerance policy when it comes to this. It doesn’t matter if it is directed at us or at our readers. We monitor our comment sections and our social media feeds to make sure our platform is safe and inclusive. No exceptions. Swearing is okay…as long as it’s not used against anyone. We’re from Boston/Providence. We can’t help it.

there is this thing called Google and we encourage you to use it.

Since we talk about a wide variety of topics, we may touch on a subject you’ve never heard of or something you’d like to learn more about. We will link to sources and reference resources in our writing when it’s appropriate. However, before you send us e-mails or leave comments – do your research. We are not here to teach. We’re here to discuss. We’ll answer questions where we can…but, do us a solid and hit up Google for a few minutes before hand. Who knows, you might just learn something. If you’re looking for a teacher regarding a certain subject, e-mail us privately. We accept PayPal.

Last, but most definitely not least…
our photographs are ours. Seriously.

All images, unless otherwise noted, were taken or created by The Boston Tea Party. Should you wish to use them, please reach out and then link back to The Boston Tea Party along with the appropriate credit. We always try to credit every found image on this blog. Please e-mail us { } if we have omitted your image credit and it will be fixed right away!
